2009 A new great year for turf!

Happy New Year to all!!

We are very excited to move into 2009, especially with the news of such a good summer approaching. This gives everyone a great chance to get out into their gardens and appreciate the beautiful lawns in their gardens.

We will be updating our blog as we move into spring keeping a close eye on our weather station as it records weather data day by day! We also use it as a great excuse to get out into our microlight and check out the conditions of our fields. We have been maintaining our turf fields throughout the winter as it has been a terribly cold winter at that!!

Well we shall report very soon but for now I'd start planning for some serious gardening in the coming year and some beautiful sunshine to go along with it!

Online Turf - Were Back!

Well this blog hasn't been used for a while - but were back and ready to keep you updated on the latest news straight from our turf farm. As we find ourselves mid Autumn our turf is really looking fantastic and the quality is really amazing.

We have been amazed at the amount of rain we have been having recently and are hoping for a break so we can get out there and sow some more seeds. The rain has been great for our turf growth and we continuously see the turf strengthening and producing consistent quality.

Leatherjackets epidemic

As you all know, the crane fly is busy laying its eggs and it can be expected that there will be a lot of leatherjackets eating the roots of the turf during Winter 2006 to Spring 2007.
